What a FEAT!
With the exception of the three Halls of Atonement achievements which I had done back in 2021, Baz and I two 'manned' these on my mage and his monk.
We had some challenges and did have to take a break away from it a couple of times :).
As usual Wowhead had some fabulous posts and insight and guided us through these achievements. The two Glory posts we referenced were:
Glory of the Shadowlands Hero Guide
We used the guide to get an overview of the achievements and the achievement post to review comments and 'solo' guides from other WOW players, particularly if we were struggling. The linked videos were also helpful from time to time.
A few additional points regarding a couple of the ones that we had to work at a few times.
ExSPEARiential - There were only ever 5 Kyrian fighting above us, in total, and more did not appear when entering a new phase. If one of your blue cloud circles disappears then you need to jump off and start over. When there was nobody on the platform she did reset. Having one person able to heal makes a big difference (so does remembering to use Slowfall after you launch your spear). We found using different positioning to jump off helped to reach the different clouds. Jumping off in the middle helped get the ones at the front, and then either side for the ones at the back.
I can See my House From Here - This takes practice! Initially, it will take ages before you see the first set of 3 orbs. Try not to move around too much as you float as movement seems to reduce your height and you will be unable to reach the orbs you need. We used the strategy proposed by Myrendla with me taking middle and final orb, and Baz taking left and right. In our winning attempt we used a 25 second delay.
Highly Communicable - This was a KILLER, not because it is hard as such, but because if you mess it up (which we did repeatedly) you have to leave the instance, reset, and start over clearing ALL the trash in the instance. Some key points:
- Cannot stress this enough - (credit woans ) After defeating Dealer Xy'exa, do not take the green portal / Flight path as its duration will remove the debuff. You can and should walk up the ridge by going to the right of the portal and manually walk to the entrance.
- Make SURE you have the
Corrupted Blood debuff before you kill Hakkar. One time we saw him cast it, smashed him hard, then realized even though he had cast it we did not have the debuff. Another walk out and start over.
- A two person mount was super helpful to keep us together and make sure the debuff didn't drop off. We used the Obsidian Nightwing, but there are a few options: - WOW passenger mounts.
All in all, it was fun, interesting and challenging.
Happy Holidays!
